NATURE BASED HEALING
My name is Madelyn Steen and I’m a queer trauma ecotherapist by day and I also have my retreat business, softwildjoy, which I’m extremely passionate about. I created softwildjoy because I found my own healing existed not only in therapy, but also outside its walls, in connection with the natural world and in community with others. I truly found my joy for life when I was hiking in the woods with friends, and nourishing myself in this way has made me a more present and grounded parent to my kids. Why “softwildjoy”? I aim for life to be a combination of soft ease, a bit of wild spontaneity, and joyful moments. My events are a reflection of this and I hope to see you there!

LABYRINTH EXPERIENCE
My name is Jessica Anderson. I love working as a therapist with children, adults and families, and I geek out about labyrinths. In the 13 years since walking my first labyrinth at a retreat center, labyrinths have been a significant resource to me on my journey to become a mom and as a mom.
A labyrinth is a single meandering path that can help us go inward, quiet the mind, and connect to our body, our wisdoms, and our surroundings. You can walk the labyrinth for contemplation, stress reduction, meditation, prayer, problem solving, or whatever you need.I am excited to invite parents and caregivers to experience a labyrinth, whether it's your first time, second time, or you have lost count.

PROCESS ART
My name is Maddie Johnson. I work as a marriage and family therapist and board certified art therapist but my number one job is mother. I have three kids, one pup and a supportive partner. I opened Heart Space with the goal to create more opportunities for people to connect to their creativity in community. Having gone on my first retreat 3 years ago, I found a passion to create spaces for people to disconnect from the busyness of their lives in order to reconnect with themselves. When we are grounded and connected with our selves, we are much more available for others. I can’t wait to bring process art to this nourishing day retreat!
